KLD-IPATS uses a small number of cookies, all of them necessary for the site to function — signing in, staying signed in, and keeping your forms secure. There is nothing beyond that to explain, which is the point of this page.
1What Are Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store, so the site can recognize your browser on a later request — for example, to remember that you're signed in.

Both are "strictly necessary" cookies under standard cookie-law classifications — the system cannot function without them, which is why we don't ask for consent to set them; there is nothing optional to opt out of.
3What We Don't Use
- No advertising or ad-retargeting cookies
- No third-party analytics or tracking scripts
- No cross-site tracking of any kind
KLD-IPATS doesn't run ads and doesn't share browsing data with anyone. The only reason it sets a cookie is to make the sign-in and submission process work correctly.
4Managing Cookies
Because the cookies described above are required for the system to work, blocking them in your browser will prevent you from signing in or submitting an application. Most browsers let you view and clear cookies for a specific site through their settings, if you'd like to confirm what's stored.
5Changes to This Policy
If KLD-IPATS ever introduces a new kind of cookie — for analytics, for example — this page will be updated first, and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
